📊 Understanding Your Reorder Quantity Report

The Reorder Quantity Report provides a clear view of which products need replenishment, how much to reorder, and when to do it. It helps store owners and inventory managers maintain ideal stock levels across all locations — preventing stockouts, overstocking, and missed sales opportunities. This report draws data directly from your Shopify store and automatically applies your defined rules or dynamic calculations to show accurate, actionable restocking recommendations.

🧠 What the Report Shows

Each column in the report represents a key data point that helps you evaluate your stock position and plan your next purchase orders efficiently.

Below is an explanation of each column and how to interpret it:

🛍️ Product Name

Displays the product title as listed in your Shopify store.
This helps you easily identify which items are included in your reorder report.

🗂️ Collections

Shows the collection or category each product belongs to in your Shopify store.
This helps you group products logically — for example, by type, brand, or season — when reviewing reorder priorities.

🏷️ SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)

Displays the unique SKU code associated with each product or variant.
SKUs serve as precise item identifiers used across fulfillment, purchase orders, and inventory tracking.

🔖 Tags

Lists the Shopify product tags assigned to each item.
Tags are useful for segmenting and filtering products in your report — for example, by seasonality (summer), stock status (bestseller), or warehouse (main-warehouse).

🏢 Vendor

Displays the vendor or supplier name associated with each product in Shopify.
This helps you organize and plan reorders by supplier — ensuring you know which vendor to contact when replenishing certain items.

📦 Current Inventory

Shows the current available stock of each product or variant, as reflected in Shopify.
This gives you an up-to-date view of what’s currently on hand before any reorder is made.

The value updates automatically based on your Shopify inventory, so you always work with the latest stock levels.

📈 Maximum Inventory or Maximum Stock Level

Represents the ideal upper stock level your store aims to maintain for each product.
This ensures you can meet demand while keeping inventory costs under control.

This figure is determined by your app’s configured mode:

  • In Manual Mode, it’s based on the Maximum Order Quantity and your defined thresholds.

  • In Dynamic Mode, it’s calculated using your store’s sales trends and standard lead time assumptions.

💡 Think of this as your "fully stocked" target level — the maximum amount your business should carry before it becomes excess.

🚨 Reorder Point

Indicates the trigger level for restocking — the point where a product’s inventory should prompt a reorder to prevent stockouts.
When your current stock falls to or below this level, it’s time to place a new order.

The Reorder Point is influenced by:

  • Your average sales rate (demand)

  • Supplier lead time

  • Safety stock (inventory buffer)

The report automatically identifies which items are near or below their reorder point, helping you prioritize urgent restocks.

🔁 Reorder Quantity

Shows the recommended number of units to order to bring your inventory back up to the optimal level.
It’s derived from the difference between your Maximum Inventory and your Current Inventory.

This value adjusts dynamically based on your selected mode:

  • Manual Mode: Uses your entered demand and thresholds.

  • Dynamic Mode: Uses recent Shopify sales data and built-in safety stock logic.

💡 This is your actionable reorder amount — what your next purchase order should include to restore ideal stock levels.

⚙️ Report Features and Functionality

The Reorder Quantity Report is designed to give you full control and flexibility over your restocking process.

🔧 Modes of Calculation

  • Manual Mode – Allows you to set your own Estimated Daily Demand, Safety Stock, and Lead Time values.
Perfect for businesses that follow fixed reorder cycles or have established supplier schedules.

  • Dynamic Mode – Automatically analyzes your Shopify sales and inventory data to calculate reorder levels without manual setup.
Ideal for merchants who want data-driven automation.

⚙️ Navigating the Reorder Quantity Report Interface

At the top of your report, you’ll find:
